At the end of 2019, we moved to Dagestan to build up our 4×4 self-drive tours and international tourism in the Caucasus and although the world has not gained much stability lately, we look optimistically forward to the next 5 years!

A brief review:

2020 – YouTubers and journalists were supposed to show Dagestan to the world – but Corona stopped everything. We used the standstill to explore every corner of Dagestan for 22 weeks. Our first guests, Nastya and Konstantin (on their honeymoon!) remain unforgettable.

2021 – After a year of delay, finally visitors started pouring in. Our guests made great videos, wrote travel reports, and successfully introduced our region to an international audience.

2022 – Our world collapsed, and cancellations stacked up.  A beacon of hope were 23 guests who visited us in Dagestan, despite the recent outbreak of the Ukraine conflict. A (long-planned) stay in Bavaria was an opportunity to recharge. Our children improved their German in kindergarten, Andreas studied international tourism development, and Sveta supported newly arrived children for integrating into the German school system.

2023 – We moved our travel company from Dagestan to Tbilisi in Georgia. We spent amazing four months exploring our new home and the best routes. The first guests arrived, and Olivia started her first school year.

2024 – A successful year with many guests. The introduction of our cross-border Transcaucasus tours in July and August was a milestone to offer Dagestan tours again, at least on a small scale.

2025 – We are refining our 4×4 self-drive offer in Georgia, offer a limited number of cross-border Dagestan tours in the summer, and start first test runs for a unique Caucasus hiking tours.

Cheers to another exciting 5 years in the North and South Caucasus!

Your gear is transported by 4×4.

Can I visit Dagestan with you in 2025?

Yes – in July and August we organize Transcaucasus tours where you cross as self-driver 4×4 in our UAZ buses the Caucasus from Georgia to Dagestan, or vice versa. All bookings are confirmed for 2025 though we still have one last vehicle available to visit Dagestan this summer. Contact us if interested.

Georgia is easy to reach from Europe with a flight to the capital Tbilisi or to Kutaisi, no visa is required.
There are ongoing protests in the city centers though tourism is not affected. More about travel safety here.

Dagestan  (airport "MCX") is best reached with the airline Pobeda with almost daily flights from Istanbul.
