Our first multi-day hike during Easter was a complete success and brought great joy to both our guests and us! By May our travel season is in full swing, and guests are almost continuously on the move, exploring the most beautiful and less known corners of the Caucasus behind the steering wheel of our 4×4 campers.

With great enthusiasm, we are already looking to the future. In the coming years, we certainly want to continue offering our popular Caucasus 4×4 self-drive tours in Georgia and Dagestan. At the same time, we are planning to assemble a team to organize Caucasus Hiking Trips with our comfortable tent camps several times a year. The next of these hikes is already planned for October, and we hope by then to welcome new faces to the UAZ Family team!

At the very end, you will find more pictures of our hike and beautiful impressions from guests who explored Georgia in our UAZ a few days ago.

We look forward to hosting some of you soon in the Caucasus!

Best regards,

    Andreas and Sveta

Video of our comfortable tent camp.

Our mobile tent camp leaves nothing to be desired. The 12m² large and 2.4m high sleeping tents have already been affectionately nicknamed ‘our lodge’ by some guests. A large heated kitchen tent and hot shower along with our custom-made thick mattresses and cozy sleeping bags ensure relaxation and a good night’s sleep between hikes.

7 days hiking in the small Caucasus 22.-28. Oct. 2025

On the next hiking trip, we will visit some particularly beautiful places in the small Caucasus and set up our tent camp there. The long and warm Georgian autumn offers excellent hiking weather and the surrounding nature will be beautifully painted in a variety of colors.
Here you can find more details on that. Feel free to write to us if you are interested or have any questions.

This hike can of course be combined with a longer Georgia trip in a 4×4 camper. It also offers the opportunity to explore Tbilisi in detail.

Entry & Visa (updated on 14.07.25)

Georgia is easy to reach from Europe with a flight to the capital Tbilisi or to Kutaisi, no visa is required.
There are ongoing protests in the city centers though tourism is not affected. More about travel safety here.

Dagestan  (airport "MCX") is best reached with the airline Pobeda with almost daily flights from Istanbul.
For stays of up to 16 days you can get Russia tourist visas online, longer Russia visas you apply for in your home country.
Transit visas for Russia (e.g., if you are travelling on to Kazakhstan) are available in Tbilisi and Yerevan.
