At the Black Sea, we travelled many kilometres along the coast to find suitable beaches for our guests. Almost everywhere already hotels fill the coast and the few remaining free spots are well-known on the internet and often busy with campers. However, we didn’t let this discourage us and spent two weeks exploring the most beautiful spots along the coast. Fortunately, we found some fantastic places that we can very much recommend to our guests.

We are already working on our offers for next year. As announced, there will be a special trip in the summer of 2024 where you cross the Caucasus and explore the most beautiful places in Georgia AND Dagestan. More details below.

Warm regards from Tbilisi, where we have now moved into our new base.

Transkaukasus Selbstfahrerreisen 2024 - alle Infos

In July and August 2024, you have the unique opportunity to travel by UAZ Camper from Georgia to Dagestan (or from Dagestan to Georgia). Here is a detailed description of this journey and the exact itinerary. We have also prepared answers to some questions you may have about this route

Unsere Gäste

Heide, Martin, and Frank are experienced 4×4 drivers. At home, they own vehicles like a Lada and an old Toyota. We were delighted that the three of them spontaneously decided to explore the South Caucasus in our UAZ Campers this year. One highlight was definitely the Latpari Pass, which is located at almost 3000 meters and offers magnificent views.

Visit from the family

Our children were especially delighted when ‘Aunt Lilli’ (Andreas’ sister) and her boyfriend Daniel came to visit for two weeks. We spent several days together and then sent off the two to explore Georgia on their own.

UAZ Camper für Weltreise zu verkaufen

As you may know, we sell our vehicles after a few years, fully equipped as off-road campers. The target audience is travellers who want to explore the Silk Road and the former USSR. Our Dorie, built in 2017, is now for sale with 50,000 km on the clock. Here are all the details.

Travel and visas

There is some great news regarding travel to Russia – electronic visas have finally been activated.

For tourist visits of up to 16 days, you can now apply for your Russian visa online on the e-Visa website. For longer visits, regular paper visas are still available, but it’s best to apply for these in your home country.

One important note, especially for travellers using their own vehicles! Only border crossings (“crossing points”) listed on the e-Visa website can be used with the e-Visa.

However, the Georgia/Russia border crossing (Verkhny Lars) is definitely accessible with an e-Visa!
