Reinforced by social media, there are a handful of very well-known places in Georgia. Tourists from all over the world are brought here, often by the minute. Every other house in the village is now branded as “guesthouse,” “cafe,” or “bar,” and many families have either sold their animals or completely abandoned their ancestor’s traditional way of life.

“Experience the Caucasus and its people authentically off the beaten path” is the motto of our self-drive tours. We prefer to send you to areas where you can truly get to know the land and its people authentically. Your UAZ camper, parked on a remote alpine meadow, the sun slowly rising behind the mountains, gradually bathing the surrounding snow-covered peaks in warm light. The coffee pot bubbles gently as you enjoy the magnificent panorama during breakfast. These are the unique moments that make our individual trips so special.

Many interesting places and encounters cannot be found on Google or Instagram but only through conversations with the locals. Fortunately, most Georgians speak Russian, so we can communicate well. However, we are always working to expand our network of English-speaking hosts for our guests, so you also can personally get to know the warm-hearted residents of the Caucasus.

Best regards, and we look forward to your visit.

Catching your own Caucasus Trouts

Up high in the mountains, next to his parents’ house, a small creak gushes. Here, last year, Giorgi experimentally set up a trout pond. The fish survived the harsh winter well and gained great weight. Self-caught and grilled, the fish tasted excellent, a clear recommendation for our guests in this region.

Travelling by motorbike.

Simone is in the process of changing his job, but before doing so, he quickly rode his motorcycle from Italy to the Caucasus. We met in the middle of nowhere on a lonely alpine meadow and had lunch together, chatting about our travel experiences and exchanging the best routes for 4x4s and motorcycles.

Travel and Visa

For visiting Georgia a direct flight to Tbilisi is the quickest route, most citizens don’t need a Visa.
