We suggest to sign a standard car-sales contract but to keep the vehicle registration in our name. This is because registering a vehicle in their name is nearly impossible for tourists.

You will receive a full notarized power of attorney from us, which will allow you to start your journey without any additional paperwork or costs for registration or insurance.

With this power of attorney, all border crossings and also the eventual sale of the vehicle at the end of your journey will be possible without any issues. As an example, you can refer to Huub van der Mark, who also undertook a world trip in a UAZ bus using a similar power of attorney.

A UAZ Bus is a vehicle for adventurers and explorers. Comparable to the off-road capabilities of a Defender and Land Cruiser 70 series, it offers significantly more living space and room within similar outer dimensions. You can easily pass under any underpass, cross any bridge, and even use the smallest ferries. In short, with a UAZ, you can go wherever larger campers would have to turn back.

A quick note: This vehicle requires regular lubrication, and there are some parts that require by design occasional tightening or replacement. However, the technology used is straightforward, and you won’t have any trouble finding spare parts or mechanics familiar with UAZ throughout the former Soviet Union.
