Spring has come to Dagestan and was celebrated traditionally with a local holiday called “ploughing of the first field”.
April passed very quickly. We had (and at the moment have) wonderful guests exploring Dagestan on our self-drive tours.
The border with Germany finally opened and we also organized the first international tourism development conference here in Dagestan.

The next English speaking Dagestan Online Experiences will be on May 15th and also on May 23rd (20:00 Moscow time)
To register, please visit the website of our partners from “Beyond Red Square” who also offer a variety of other (virtual) tours in the Northern Caucasus.

Greetings from the Land of Mountains and looking forward to see many of you soon in person.

After his tour around Dagestan in our UAZ bus, Luc Jones – traveller and YouTuber from the UK, created not just one but two great videos about his time in Dagestan: Watch Video 1 and here comes Video 2

Returning guests

The best compliment for our tours are of course guests returning for a second visit. It was great to see Sonja, Daniel and Ole again and send them on another amazing journey around Dagestan (Daniel even celebrated his birthday with us here)

First International Tourism Development Conference

60 years after Yuri Gagarin launched to space, we kicked off International Tourism in Dagestan. Local tourism operators and international experts discussed how to best cope with the expected growth in tourism in Dagestan. Here you can find the slides and recordings of this conference.

117 (!) km marathon across Dagestan.

An amazing endurance run is taking place every year in Dagestan called the “Wild Trail”. The participants have 24 hours to cover an unbelievable 117 km  by foot on an absolutely beautiful trail across the hills and mountains of Dagestan.
