October brought a warm autumn, our kids splashed one last time in the Caspian Sea and we welcomed great guests from Moscow for a short trip around Dagestan.
Even though it’s still a long way to overcome Corona, we carefully optimistic are already looking towards a time when the world has the Pandemic under control and keep our fingers crossed to see you in person next year!
All the best and stay safe

Our Guests
It was a pleasure for us to welcome Sonja, Daniel and Ole who are living and working in Moscow. They visited us for a couple of days to camp at the Caspian Sea coast and discover the secrets of Dagestan.
Kindergarten on the beach
Finally we found time to take our neighbours and their kids for the long-promised camping trip to the beach. The weather was just perfect for one last splash in the sea.
We had a great time roasting marshmallows and telling stories around the fire until the sound of the waves lulled everybody softly to sleep.
Turning wool into warm coats
Felt is the traditional material for long overcoats, often called for good reason the shepherd’s “house” It’s great to see the century-old tradition still alive here in Dagestan. Everything is done by hand and on your visit, you can watch yourself the many steps required to turn raw wool into sturdy felt coats!
